Super scared and seeking support…

I want to try something new and put myself out there because I really want my passion for books, life and happiness to shine through and although I hope my blog already emphasizes these qualities. I want to push myself further and perhaps try and video blog on YouTube.

I am just super worried about being overly awkward and shy, if I posted a video about my August ‘to be read books’ or ‘my top five favourite books’ (or something along those lines) Β would you lovely follows watch it and give me criticism?

My fear level at the moment is Ron + spiders.

I would love for you to get to know me more and I believe this will help my confidence and allow me to prove (to myself) that I can do anything I desire with determination.

Want to help me achieve getting over my fear?Β

Support me and lets go on this adventure together…

  1. I would watch, I love watching book vlogs. I wouldn’t worry about being awkward and shy. The more you do it the more confident you will get; everyone gets better at what they do over time, it just takes dedication and perseverance. If it helps, picture those spiders wearing roller-blades πŸ˜‰ good luck!

  3. BookTubing is so much fun! The BookTube community is open and nice. In the beginning it’s kind of scary, but as you keep posting videos, it becomes a lot more fun because you connect with so many more people who love books. Do it!!

  4. I say go for it! A couple of people have asked me to do videos too and the thought alone is enough to make me run and hide but in the back of my mind, it’s something I’ve always wanted to attempt. So I will at least give it a try and you should too! If after a few tries, it’s not for you, at least you can say you tried and not wonder ‘what if’ you had done it. πŸ™‚

  5. Go for it. It’s a cool thing to do. Public speaking is always scary – perhaps even more so when they aren’t in the room with you at the time – but you’ll get a lot out of it I’m sure. As for feeling awkward or shy, well most of your viewers will realize it’s a new thing for you and they’ll expect you to be a bit nervous the first few times. Some good feedback will do wonders for your confidence though.

  6. Yes! I will totally support you on this! I started my own BookTube, but discovered that it wasn’t really my thing. I’m not a good talker. But I LOVE watching all other booktubers, and you will definitely be one of them! xoxo

  7. Good luck with it. Maybe let friends watch your first video you record and edit and see if they find it awkward or not? I am sure you will always find yourself awkward until you get into the swing of things. Your friends won’t be too harsh and will tell you about their perspective which is probably what all of us audience members will see too! I hope you face your fears and have fun with youtube. πŸ™‚
